Coyote Alert!

Should you encounter a coyote, the Urban Coyote Research Study states coyotes can attack humans, small children, and pets, but risks can be reduced by doing the following:

• Don’t leave food out

• Keep pets on a short leash.

• Don’t run from them or play dead.  Use negative stimuli (i.e. yell, make loud noises, throw something in their direction).

If they stand their ground around something, slowly back away. Avoid a confrontation, if possible.
